Our Causes
These are the causes we support with your donations. They all feed children while attending school. We plan to update you with inspiring stories about the children and their progress so you can have a better idea what your generous donations are achieving.
We believe in Effective Giving. Effective Giving means helping people in ways that allow them to empower themselves to create a way out of poverty. Education is the ideal tool for people to empower themselves. With better nutrition to help children make the most of their schooling, and an education, anything is possible.
The Africa Alive Education Foundation
Established in 2006 by Zimbabwean born author and inspirational speaker Getrude Matshe, the Africa Alive Education Foundation actively raises funds worldwide with an aim to support and address the needs of the growing number of orphans and other vulnerable children in Zimbabwe.
Its mission is to provide education, health and family support services for these children and young adults in rural and impoverished communities in Zimbabwe by promoting community participation in their care and support.
Many of these children have suffered the loss of one or both of their parents and are understandably experiencing extreme difficulties in adapting to these circumstances. Many are having to take on the role of primary breadwinner for their family or as needed as careers for sick relatives.
At the same time, many guardians, often elderly grandparents, are suddenly left with the extra responsibilities of looking after these orphaned children and are struggling to cope.
The projects run and funded by Africa Alive Education Foundation are developed specifically for their local communities, with active participation by all, young and old alike. Their key goal is to keep children from large families together on their homesteads and in their communities. So, instead of supporting one individual child, all contributions go towards helping the entire family meet its basic needs.
All projects are aimed at empowering communities with income generating skills thus uplifting entire communities though the care for the children.

The Sage Foundation
The SAGE Foundation, based in Mumbai India, was established in 1958. It provides enlightened education for creating extraordinary lives for children and wealth generating skills training for their families.
These opportunities are created by enhancing the education offered by existing schools and by setting up new schools. Many poor families are trained to create handicrafts and fashion products. These products are sold around the world through their extensive partner network. The families are encouraged to continue sending their children to school so they can continue to receive this training.
Many philanthropic individuals & organizations have been attracted to partner with the Sage Foundation because of this unique model of community assistance.

YKIP (Yayasan Kemanusiaan Ibu Pertiwi) or the Humanitarian Foundation for Mother Earth
YKIP is a foundation in Bali dedicated to improving the lives of the needy in Bali through Health and Education Projects. It was established just days after the Bali Bomb Blast of October 12, 2002. Their efforts are intended as a living tribute to the 222 dead and 446 injured victims of the two blasts.
YKIP is a donor agency for other organizations to support projects on Bali, knowing that their funds will be used in a productive and transparent manner. They also support many of their own projects.
Founded by business people, doctors, officials and volunteers who assisted during the 2002 bomb crisis. It soon became evident that in order to accommodate the tons (literally) of medical supplies and monetary donations from well-wishers around the world, a transparent and responsible organization needed to be established. YKIP was born. Today as the needs of those involved in the Bali Bombings have been provided for, YKIP has turned its focus to Health and Education issues, specifically to those projects that can improve the lives of the poor who live in Bali.
YKIP’s role is to raise money for targeted projects on Bali and provide easy access for institutions and individuals to respond to, as well as a trustworthy and transparent system to work with.
